Terrence Malick’s masterpiece The Tree of Life is back in a big way these days, as the new Criterion Collection release includes a brand-new cut from the director himself! Wade and Kevin revisit the film to explore how the extended edition changes Malick’s vision, for better or for worse. They then turn their attention to a film that in many ways is the polar opposite of The Tree of Life: Jeremy Saulnier’s meditation on human savagery, the Netflix original film Hold the Dark.
